Many Renfrewshire residents have been hit by the cost of living crisis. Many local people are struggling with ever increasing bills and don't know how they will make ends meet.

Renfrewshire Liberal Democrats are demanding action to help people. The Lib Dems were one of the first to call for energy bills to come down in price.

But instead of supporting people, The SNP and Green Government plans to make things even tougher by hammering households with council tax rises of up to 22% in bands E-H.

Under the plans, 22,492 households in Renfrewshire will be hit, and it could cost some up to £791 more. 

The SNP said they would abolish Council Tax back in 2007 to replace it with a fairer tax solution. Now they want to hike it at the worst possible moment. Renfrewshire residents deserve better than this.

That's why the Renfrewshire Lib Dem team are calling on the SNP to scrap these unfair tax increases and work on replacing Council tax with a much fairer system for locals that they had promised.
